Join the BMW CCA’s X Chapter for the 2021 Ultimate X Fall Foliage Driving Tour through Upstate New York’s beautiful Letchworth State Park and the Finger Lakes region! While this event is sponsored by the X Chapter, our planned routes will be friendly for ALL vehicles, X drive or SAV/SUV are not required to participate.
We will begin our touring weekend with a meet & greet dinner in Ithaca on Thursday night. Friday we’ll kick-off the Ultimate Fall Driving Tour with winding back roads and foliage on our way to Letchworth State Park. We will end the driving tour with a stop at Watkins Glen International Speedway and an optional Drive the Glen experience ($20). Find out what it feels like to drive this storied road course while piloting your personal vehicle [cars and SUV/SAVs ONLY] around the 3.45-mile Grand Prix circuit, paced by an official WGI pace car. A group dinner will be the capstone for the day. Saturday we’ll tour the Finger Lakes region with a stop or two to indulge in some delicious food and wine along the way.
There is a $10 registration fee for this event. Participants will be responsible for their own hotel registration (link provided with registration confirmation), food/drink costs, Letchworth park entry fee ($10), any incidentals and optional $20 registration fee for the drive the Glen experience. An exclusive X Chapter rate of $209 (plus tax) has been negotiated with the Fairfield Inn Ithaca. All hotel registrations must be completed by September 6 to take advantage of this rate.
