If you're considering advancing to the ranks of BMW CCA Club Racing, or interested in accelerating your driving skill development, the BimmerWorld BMW CCA Club Racing School at Watkins Glen International is the event for you. The school is open to BMW CCA HPDE advanced students and instructors, as well as participants with equivalent driving experience from other recognized car clubs and organizations.
This BimmerWorld BMW CCA Club Racing School is hosted by Trackmasters at Watkins Glen International (WGI), September 18-19, 2024. Following this two day school is a 3 day BMW CCA Club Race on September 20-22, 2024. These back to back events offer opportunities to do the school and then race with us, or just stay for the race and volunteer to help and learn more about what it is like to race with BMW CCA.
The school is 2 days on the 3.4 mile Long Course at Watkins Glen which features 11 distinctive turns including the dramatic uphill Esses, the inner loop, the carousel and the famous "boot" .
Successful completion of the school will allow you to apply for a Rookie BMW CCA Club Race license and may qualify you for a NASA, SCCA, AER, Porsche, CASC-OR (Canada), or other race licenses.
The BimmerWorld BMW CCA Club Racing School consists of eight classroom sessions and eight track sessions. The classroom curriculum covers the fundamentals of closed circuit, door-to-door performance driving, competitive passing techniques, driver/race car preparation, and knowledge of BMW CCA Club racing rules. On the track, you’ll experience various passing exercises, driving three-wide at speed, green-flag practice starts, and a full simulated race exercise; all under the watchful eye of the BMW CCA Club Racing On-track Instructors. The learning is accelerated, the driving is fast, and the experience is unforgettable!
Cost for the two day school: $800
Early fall in the Finger Lakes Region is a great time of the year. Have your family come along, get your track friends to sign up for the school with you, or maybe you have some friends or family who are not ready for a club race school, but would love some HPDE or open track time on Watkins Glen. Have them signup with Trackmasters for this event and enjoy being at the track together.
