Come join NCC, as we head to The City of Brotherly Love to tour the Simeone Foundation Automotive Museum. 

“Located in Philadelphia, PA, the Simeone Foundation Automotive Museum is one of the world’s greatest collections of racing sports cars. Through our theme, “The Spirit of Competition”, we celebrate the history and evolution of these magnificent machines. Assembled over 50 years by Dr. Frederick Simeone, the Museum contains over 75 historically significant cars including Ferrari, Alfa Romeo, Bugatti, Mercedes, Jaguar, Bentley, Porsche, Aston Martin, Corvette, Ford, and more.”

Our visit to the museum coincides with the first Demo Day of the year. Demo Days give us a chance to hear a technical presentation about the cars, and see them fired up and driven in the parking lot. Afterwards, the ropes are let down and we get a chance to be up close with the cars. This weekend the title is “British Racing Drivers Club”. The showcase cars are: 1928 Riley 9 Brooklands, 1927 Bentley 3 Litre Speed Model, 1934 MG K3, 1953 Jaguar XK120 FHC.

We will start the day with an optional meeting for breakfast at Mikey and Mel’s in Fulton, MD before we hit the highway for Philly. The museum opens at 10 AM and the Demo Day event starts around 11:15 AM. Afterwards, we will head over to South Philadelphia, a foodie haven, for lunch at Brauhaus Schmitz. Seating is limited so please reserve your spot early.

After lunch, attendees are welcome to stay and get a taste of what Philadelphia has to offer. Celebrate Chinese New Year, visit the famous Liberty Bell, climb up the Rocky Steps, grab a famous cheesesteak, or stroll through Reading Terminal. Those that wish to make their way back to the DMV are free to leave at their convenience.

Due to the weather and route to the event, no caravan will take place. Attendees will begin at the start point and make their own way to the destination. 

We will meet at Mikey and Mel’s in Fulton, MD for those that would like to grab some breakfast before hitting the road. This is optional and attendees are welcome to meet us at the museum instead.
