Whidby Island Tour

Can't wait to get out on the road again?  Join us Saturday, July 17th, we're driving the Whidbey Island tour-a nice, scenic half-day tour!!

You must be a BMW CCA member to register.  If you are not current with your registration please go to the following site.  https://www.bmwcca.org

Start out in Monroe for a few twists and turns heading toward the island. Meet up around 8 am, out front of Starbucks at 19813 State Route 2, in the Monroe Plaza.  After a short drivers meeting, head out 8:30 sharp.

We'll run up along Lake Roesiger, through Granite Falls, then over to Smokey point in Marysville. From there, west toward Warm Beach, up through Stanwood, La Conner toward Fidalgo Island, then over Deception Pass onto Whidbey. From there, curvy back roads all the way down the island.

We end up near the southern tip in beautiful Langley around lunch time.  After lunch, just a few miles to the Clinton/Mukilteo ferry to the mainland.  Lots of eating places, antique stores and other small town shops await you in Langley’s historic district. With the size of the group and possible Covid restrictions still in effect, we may have to spread ourselves out over the available restaurants.

You might even want to make the drive back up the island on the main road. Or you can jump on the Port Townsend ferry to the peninsula for more adventures.  You’re also close to the legendary curves along Chuckanut Drive up toward Bellingham.

Registration on MSR.com will open on July 1 and closes July 15. We will limit registration to 25 cars. Adult waivers can be completed using Speedwaiver at that time. Cost is $10/car. At least one person/car must be a member of BMW CCA, and must enter their member number to register.

Plan to meet in the parking lot at the Monroe Plaza Starbucks, 19813 State Highway 2 at Woods Creek Road. Arrive no later than 8 am for a drivers meeting.  Itineraries, and minors’ waivers will be exchanged. We leave at 8:30 sharp.
