There's no better way to enjoy your "Ultimate Driving Machine" than to get out on the road. It's even better when you venture out with fellow club members. Summers in Minnesota are brief. Make plans to hit the road and join in the fun!
Lake Pepin River Cruise - Saturday, July 9 at 9:45 a.m.
This trip will venture down the Mississippi River en route to beautiful Lake Pepin. We'll take the back roads to Lake City where we will board the Pearl of the Lake, a modern-day replica of the grand riverboats that traveled on the Mississippi River in the 1800's. We'll enjoy a 90 minute tour of the lake and have the chance to socialize with club members. Snacks and beverages, including beer, wine and spirits, are available for purchase on the riverboat.
There is no cost for the road trip, but you need to purchase a ticket IN ADVANCE to ride the riverboat. Tickets need to be purchased on-line from pearlofthelake.com. Once on the website, click "Book My Cruise". Next, click "Sightseeing Cruise on Lake Pepin". Select "July 9, 2022" and the 1:00 p.m. cruise. The cost is $17 for adults, $15 for seniors, and $10 for children.
After the riverboat cruise, we'll head to the Jewel Golf Course (jewelgolfclub.com) in Lake City and dine at the Bluffside Grill and Bar. We'll sit on the covered patio where we can enjoy the panoramic views of the golf course surrounded by the majestic Mississippi River Bluffs. A perfect end to a day of backroads driving and riverboat cruising.
Trip departs from Kohl's in Cottage Grove at 10:00 a.m. The address is 7990 Hardwood Avenue S, Cottage Grove. Please plan to arrive by 9:45 a.m. with a full tank of gas. When you register, be sure to add your passengers too. This will assist in making reservations at the Bluffside Grill and Bar. Remember, you need to buy your riverboat cruise ticket in advance to guarantee a seat on the boat.
